Manti City Art Exhibit - June 19-21, 2008

Manti City will be sponsoring an art exhibit celebrating Sanpete County artists. This will be held the last three days of the Mormon Miracle Pageant, June 19^th, 20^th and 21^st. The art work will be on display from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the historic American Legion Hall at 185 South Main Street in Manti.

The Manti City Council meetings for November 7th and November 21st are cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday, November 14th 6:30 p.m. in the Manti City Complex, 55 South Main Street, main floor conference room.

The Manti City Council meeting scheduled for September 19, 2007 has been cancelled.

The regularly scheduled council meeting of October 3, 2007 will be held at 6:30 p.m.

2007 July 4th Volleyball Tournament

In conjunction with Manti City's 4th of July Celebration will be a Sand Volleyball Tournament held Tuesday July 3rd at the city park. It will start at 5 pm and go until dark.

The teams can have up to 6 players with 4 on the court and 2 subs. The teams must be co-ed with 2 males and 2 females playing all the time.

Cost will be $4 a person if you register before July 1st and $5 each after that. On-site registration will begin at 4:30 pm and end at 5 sharp.

2007 Schedule - Planning & Zoning Commission

The Manti City Planning Commission will hold their regular meetings in 2007 on the second Wednesday of each month (unless otherwise noticed). The meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The meetings will be held in the main floor conference room of the Manti City Building, 50 South Main Street, Manti, Utah.

Individuals having business are requested to contact the Manti City Offices not later than 5:00 p.m. on the Monday preceding the meetings to be placed on the agenda. Individuals with disabilities needing special accommodations during the meetings should contact the Manti City Offices at least three working days prior to the meeting.

2007 Annual Animal Clinic

Manti City will hold the annual animal clinic on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

The clinic will take place at the Manti City Yard, 51 South 100 East in Manti.

Rabies shots and other timely inoculations will be available from a licensed veterinarian.

All citizens with dogs or cats are encouraged to receive the rabies vaccinations, which are required to license dogs in Manti.

Dog licenses are due by February 28th and dogs not licensed by that date will be assessed a $20.00 late fee or the animal may be impounded.

All Manti citizens or citizens in the vicinity of Manti are encouraged to take advantage of the animal clinic.

Manti City is currently offering a voucher to have your dog or cat spayed or neutered, by a licensed veterinarian, at a 50 percent discount off the regular price.

Warning - Avoid Frozen Water Pipes and Meters

If you have experienced frozen water lines or water meters in the past or if you have a new water meter installation, you may wish to consider leaving a small stream of water running when temperatures drop below 15 degrees above zero.

When temperatures drop below 15 degrees, particularly when the temperature becomes sub zero, both water meters with a history of having freezing problems in the past and new installations where the ground is not compacted may freeze. This is particularly true where there is no snow cover on the ground at this time to provide insulation.

Once again if you feel your water service is in danger of freezing or if you are going to be out of town for a few days, you are encouraged to leave a small stream of water running to prevent freeze up.
