STREET IMPACT FEE
There will be an impact fee charged on any vacant lot developed after December 1993. This fee will be assessed at the rate of $8.00 a month dating from December 1, 1993 up to the time that the lot is improved. (Terms: Prin x 8%/12 monthly noncompounding.)
ALLOWED USE & OVERAGE CHARGES
Water - Each meter is allowed 7,000 gallons per month. Meters are read every six months. Anything over your allowed use for that six months is calculated by the following scale:
- $1.00 / 1000 gal. up to 270,000 gallons over the minimum
- $1.15 / 1000 gal. for next 35,000 gallons
- $1.30 / 1000 gal. for next 50,000 gallons
- $1.45 / 1000 gal. for next 60,000 gallons
- $1.60 / 1000 gal. for next 85,000 gallons
- $0.35 / 1000 gal. for usage above 500,000 gallons
Sewer - Any overage on the water for the months of November through April will change the sewer charge for the following year. This charge is at 0.25 cents/1000 gal.
BUILDING A HOME IN MANTI
In planning your home or commercial building construction in Manti there are several services and requirements that must be taken into consideration. These requirements often result in cost and in order to avoid disappointments, unpleasant surprises, or delays in your project, the following is provided to aid you in your planning.
Keep in mind that the *items noted below may not cover all aspects of your project but are furnished to aid you in the planning phase.
You are cautioned to check current zoning regulations relative to where you are planning to build. Check property line setbacks, construction restrictions, if any, flood zone and use of property, etc.

*NOTE: Out of city service connections require a separate review. ELECTRIC - OVERHEAD SECONDARY SERVICE A. In city limits 125 amp $800.00 ELECTRIC - UNDERGROUND SECONDARY SERVICE A. In city limits 125 amp $1,300.00 IN CITY LIMITS EXTENSION OF OVERHEAD PRIMARY SERVICE LINES A. The cost of materials for the extension will be paid in advance by the customer, in addition to the connection fee. B. The cost of materials for an underground primary service will be paid in advance by the customer, in addition to the connection fee. OUT OF CITY LIMITS SERVICE CONNECTION POLICY A. Connection fee $1,600.00 B. An estimation of the cost of the materials, labor and equipment, must be paid in advance by the customer, along with approval of the council for the service to be provided. C. Customers must be advised by the Manti City power department on acceptable materials and proper installation procedures that comply with Manti City building code and the National Electric Code if the work is to be done by the customer or builder. TEMPORARY SERVICE A. Temporary service is single 20 amp outlet with a single 30 amp 220 outlet for temporary use only. The service can be used for 90 days for a single fee of $25.00. The temporary service can be used for up to one year with an additional fee of $25.00 every 90 days. SERVICE UPGRADE A. If a customer changes or upgrades their service, Manti City will disconnect the power and re-connect the power at no charge provided Manti City does not have to add any materials for the re-connection of the service. B. If the customer requires teh re-route of the service poles or wire the customer will pay all the costs for the move in advance. C. If a customer upgrades a 100 amp service to a 200 amp service teh customer will pay in advance $400.00 which will cover the transformer upgrade and wire to serve the load. WATER UTILITY CONNECTION Standard 3/4 inch meter $1,020.00 WATER IMPACT FEE On all new water service connections $1,400.00 SEWER UTILITY CONNECTION 4 inch standard outfall line $1,200.00 NOTE: If a main sewer collection line does not exist at the location you have chosen to build, the extension of the sewer connection line may be entirely at your expense, or a shared expense at the discretion of the City Council. The line would be installed at City specifications with City inspection. NEW CUSTOMER DEPOSIT AND METER CHARGES Surety Deposit $100.00 (For a home buyer) (Deposits are refundable after one year) Electric Meter Charge $42.50 (Meter Charges are a one time fee and not refundable) |
