Main street enhancement street lights

When I was driving through Centerfield, I noticed that their new streetlights have brackets on them to hold the decorative flags like the ones displayed at Pageant and County fair time. Will our new streetlights have similar brackets on them? Hope so!

Still in the design process

I don't know if there is an answer to your question at this time. Design work has barely started on the project. Last year we had banners on our existing poles and I think they were attractive and well received by the community. The poles not included in the enhancement project on the north and south ends of Main Street currently have brackets for the banners. I think it is logical that the new poles within the project should have brackets for banners. I am in favor of the banners and I will use any influence that I might have to have the banners.

Good call!

Good call! I like the poles with banner brackets too.

Where will the new lights end?

With regards to the street lights, will they be installed along the entire length of town north to south? From my review of minutes and notes the "improvement" will end at 200 South. Is this correct? What will end at 200 South (both lights and improved road?).

New lights all along Main Street

I think most of the improvements are going to be in the center of town, but I was under the impression from the City Council meeting that there will be new lights the length of town. There will be more of them in the center of town, but there will be at least some new lights on each block. I think they talked about putting brighter bulbs in the ones where the density is lower so that we will still have the same amount of light, just from fewer poles.

Any photos or links to proposed lights?

To get additional discussion on the Manti street enhancement I would appreciate if we could obtain some snapshots of the lights or URL directing examples of the proposed lights. You should be able to post a gif or jpeg to this discussion as well as URL. This would help to collect additional comments and input from the citizens of Manti.

Direct questions to steering committee

Any ideas about the main street project should be addressed to the steering committee. Member of the committee are Councilman Dean Hatch, Mayor Kim Anderson, Kent Barton, Melissa Parry, Doug Dyreng, Doug Barton, Linda Blake, and Shannon Miller.
