Raised in Sanpete County, I graduated from Gunnison High School, Snow College and Utah State University studying Psychology and Business Management. I later earned an MS in Psychology. A former livestock owner and high school guidance counselor, it is now my pleasure to serve the citizens of Manti, follow my seven grandchildren and enjoy extra time with their parents.

Korry L. Soper was born January 1, 1965, in Panguitch, Utah. He is married to Karen A. Soper. They have four children. Korry and his family have lived in Manti since 1998.

Korry graduated from Utah State University in 1989 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness, and minor in Business Administration. He is the Farm Loan Manager for the USDA, Farm Service Agency located in Manti, Utah. His area of responsibility covers Sanpete, Sevier, Piute and Wayne Counties.

He is a volunteer fireman on the Manti Fire Department, and served on the Manti City 4th of July committee as well as the 2005 Lighted Christmas Parade committee. Korry also serves as Treasurer for the Sanpete Junior Livestock Organization.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing, golf, and traveling. He enjoys coaching his children in various sports and spending time with his family.

Korry wants the citizens of Manti to know how much he appreciates the opportunity to serve them as a City Council Member. It is an honor to be able to serve Manti in this capacity and he looks forward to hearing from you with any comments or concerns.

Kent Barton is a 5 generation Manti native. He attended and graduated from local schools and later graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Management. Barton, began his professional career in the Phoenix, Arizona area where he worked as president of a Human Resource consulting firm doing business throughout the United States and Latin America. Barton had always dreamed of returning to Manti. In 2001, that desire came to fruition as Barton and his family returned to settle here. Currently, he works as an executive at Moroni Feed Company with responsibilities over Public Relations & Human Resources for the firm of 800 employees.

Barton has served as a volunteer leader with the Boys Scouts of America for over 6 years in Arizona and Utah. He also served on the six county board of economic development and as a member of the Manti Main Street Beautification committee which spearheaded improvements to Main Street through a UDOT grant. Barton is married to the former Denna Richardson, they are the parents of 4 sons and 1 daughter.
