Bike for the Cure Century is a fund-raising bike ride through Sanpete County benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. All cyclists are invited as well as those who have been touched by cancer. You will begin your journey in historic Spring City and continue on the back roads of beautiful Sanpete County. There’s a route for everyone: a 28 mile beginning course; 34, 50, and 60 mile intermediate routes; and a challenging 100 mile course. Race begins at 7:30AM.

Manti City and Sanpete County resident as well as Pageant visitors are invited to attend the Celebration of Art. Manti City will be sponsoring an art exhibit celebrating Sanpete county artists. This will be held the last three days of the Mormon Miracle Pageant. The art work will be on display from 2 pm. to 7 pm at the Historic American Legion Hall at 185 South Main.

Artists represented will be Osral Allred and Kathy Peterson of Spring City. Sandra Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, Larry Nielson of Ephraim, and Carl Purcell and Kaziah Hancock of Manti. Visitors will not be able to purchase art pieces during the exhibit, but contct information will be available.

For an exciting evening under a canopy of stars, join us at the foot of the magnificent Manti Utah Temple to watch the Mormon Miracle Pageant. The pageant’s three intertwined stories of the restoration of the gospel, the witness of the Book of Mormon, and the journey of the faithful pioneers to the beautiful Sanpete Valley, demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ for all people.

Performances run June 12th – 21st , 2008 except Sunday and Monday. The Pageant begins at 9:30 PM and is Free of Charge.

The big event for the Friends of Spring City is Heritage Day. On this day, and this day only, many residents open their historic homes to tours for the public which have been carefully restored. Spring City is the best preserved example of an early Mormon pioneer village. Spring City is on the National Register of Historic Pioneer Towns. Some of the beautiful pioneer home in the tour this year are the Wiley Payne Allred home, the Judge Jacob Johnson home, the Orson Allred Hotel, the Larsen/Covert Home and the Puzey Home.

Art/Antique Sale, Old School – 9 am to 4 pm

Home Tour, Tickets at Old Fire Station and Old Elementary School. 10 am to 4 pm

The Scandinavian Heritage Festival in Ephraim, Utah, running Thursday through Saturday prior to Memorial Day, is possibly the largest Scandinavian heritage event in the Intermountain West. Last year, it attracted upwards of 10,000 visitors.
